Students from Scuola Sportiva trained on the new bobsleigh facility in Silvaplana with Olympic champion and SMBC head Beat Hefti. The offer is open to all young people.

As summer break winds down and school resumes, the Saint Moritz Bobsleigh Club (SMBC) has launched its summer training program for aspiring young athletes. The first session took place at the newly constructed bobsleigh runway in Silvaplana, located at the Mulets restaurant. The focus of this session was on push-starts, under the guidance of Beat Hefti, an Olympic champion in two-man bobsleigh and head of young talent at SMBC. The push-pull track is open to all youth who are interested in training. Once winter arrives, there will be tester rides on the Olympic Bob Run in St. Moritz-Celerina.

The goal of this initiative is to familiarize young individuals with the sports of bobsleigh and skeleton within their local area. Both on-ice training and starting sessions are available for students who may already be involved in a different sport but have an interest in learning about these Olympic sports.

We at SMBC are eagerly anticipating a high number of registrations.
